Hillsborough Disaster

The Hillsborough Disaster occurred on 15 April 1989 at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield during a match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest football club. The incident resulted in the deaths of 96 people and injuries to 766 others. The incident has since been blamed primarily on the failure of police crowd control, by allowing too many people to enter the stadium. It remains the worst stadium-related disaster in British history, and one of the world’s worst football disasters

The aftermath of the disaster saw the influx of a large number of cases from both police officials and the families of those killed or injured in the crush.
